Top-ups are one-time purchases. They never expire, and they're only spent once your monthly allowance runs out — so a top-up bought mid-month isn't wiped by the next renewal.

Always free: reading your own Search Console and Analytics data, saved keywords, audit results you've already paid for, cost estimates, and everything the dashboard renders from stored data.

Ahrefs Lite is $129 a month and Semrush's SEO plan is $139, each for one user, with every extra login billed on top (list prices checked 2026-09-15). - What costs credits, and what is free?

Reading your own Search Console and Analytics data, saved keywords and results you have already paid for are free.
- What happens when I run out of credits?
- New paid lookups stop until the allowance resets at the start of your next billing period, or until you add a top-up from $10. Everything already stored stays readable.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- The monthly allowance resets each period and does not roll over. Top-up credits never expire, and they are only spent once the monthly allowance is used up.
- Can I connect Claude, Cursor or Codex on the free plan?
- Yes. Every plan includes the MCP server, including the free plan with 2,000 credits a month. Agent runs spend the same credits as the dashboard.
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes. Cancelling from billing settings stops future renewals, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. There is no annual contract and no sales call.
